Educational Qualification
For Development Assistant (General)
- Minimum Qualification: Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university or institution [citation:3]
- Minimum Marks:
- General/OBC/EWS candidates: Minimum 50% marks in aggregate
- SC/ST/PwBD/Ex-servicemen candidates: Pass class (minimum passing marks) [citation:3][citation:7]
For Development Assistant (Hindi)
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university
- Candidate should have studied Hindi and/or English as an elective subject during the degree course
- Ability to translate from English to Hindi and Hindi to English [citation:7]

- Minimum Age: 21 years
- Maximum Age: 35 years
Age calculation: Candidates must have been born not earlier than January 2, 1991, and not later than January 1, 2005 [citation:3][citation:7].

Candidate must be:
- A citizen of India, or
- A subject of Nepal or Bhutan, or
- A Tibetan refugee who came to India before January 1, 1962, with intention to permanently settle, or
- A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, or Vietnam with intention to permanently settle in India
Important Notes on Eligibility
- Date of Passing: The date of passing eligibility examination will be the date appearing on the mark sheet or provisional certificate issued by the University/Institute. In case results are posted on the university website, a certificate indicating the date of result publication will be accepted [citation:3].
- Verification: NABARD admits candidates based on information furnished in the ONLINE application along with applicable requisite fee and verifies eligibility before joining. If any information is found incorrect at any stage, candidature is cancelled [citation:3].
