Frequently Asked Questions

Q.Is the RRB NTPC CBT 2 syllabus same for Graduate and Undergraduate level?

The subjects are the same (Maths, Reasoning, GA) but Graduate Level CBT 2 has 120 questions while Undergraduate Level CBT 2 has 120 questions as well – however, topic depth and question difficulty are calibrated to the respective qualification level. Graduate posts have deeper questions on all three subjects.

Q.How much of GA in RRB NTPC is railway-specific?

Approximately 10–15% of General Awareness questions in RRB NTPC are railway-specific – covering Indian Railways history, zones, important projects (Vande Bharat, Kavach, freight corridors), railway budget, and recent Railway Ministry announcements.

Q.Are there separate syllabus PDFs for different RRB NTPC posts?

No. The syllabus is common across all NTPC posts for both Graduate and UG levels within CBT 1 and CBT 2 respectively. Post-wise differentiation begins only at CBT 2 (where Graduate and UG level have separate merit pools) and Typing Skill Test stage.
