Nationality

Candidates must be a citizen of India. Subjects of Nepal, Bhutan, Tibetan refugees (settled before 1962), and persons of Indian origin from Pakistan, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, East Africa may also be eligible under GoI conditions.

Q.Do graduates need to apply separately for SSC MTS and SSC CHSL?

Yes. SSC MTS and SSC CHSL are separate exams. Graduates are eligible for MTS but will likely have better career prospects through SSC CHSL (12th level) or SSC CGL (graduate level).

Q.Is there a height requirement for the MTS post?

No height/physical standards for the MTS post. The Havildar post has physical standard requirements similar to SSC GD.
