How to Apply / आवेदन कैसे करें
Go to the official UPSC registration portal: https://upsconline.nic.in/
Complete the One-Time Registration (OTR) if you are a new applicant, or log in using your existing OTR ID and password.
Access the CDS-II 2026 Application Link under the active notifications tab.
Fill in Part-I of the application with your accurate personal, contact, and educational details.
Select your preferred defense academy training courses in order of priority.
Complete Part-II by paying the application fee of ₹200 (General/OBC males) online. Female, SC, and ST candidates are fully exempt.
Upload high-quality scanned copies of your photograph, formal signature, and a valid government photo identity proof.
Select your preferred examination center city from the available dropdown menu.
Review your entries completely, submit the application form, and download the final confirmation page for future reference.

- ✓Valid Photo ID Proof (Aadhaar Card, Voter ID, Passport, PAN Card, or Driving License)
- ✓Scanned copy of a recent passport-sized color photograph (JPG format)
- ✓Scanned copy of candidate's signature (JPG format)
- ✓Matriculation / Class 10 Certificate & Marksheet (Mandatory for Date of Birth proof)
- ✓Intermediate / Class 12 Certificate & Marksheet
- ✓Graduation Degree Certificate or provisional degree marksheets (For final year students, a bonafide certificate from the college/university)
- ✓Category/Caste Certificate (For OBC-NCL, SC, ST, or EWS candidates seeking fee exemptions)

Can final-year college students apply for this exam?
Yes, final-year graduate students who have no backlogs and can submit proof of passing before the commencement of the course training (July/October 2027) are fully eligible to apply.
Is there any negative marking in the CDS exam?
Yes, negative marking is applicable for incorrect answers in the objective written test. One-third ($0.33$) of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted for every wrong response.
