Scale III has the strictest eligibility requirements of all IBPS RRB posts. The 5-year officer experience requirement significantly narrows the eligible candidate pool compared to Scale I and Scale II.
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree in any discipline from a recognized university
- Preference/desirable: Degree in Banking, Finance, Economics, Agriculture, or Rural Development
- Computer literacy is mandatory
Experience Requirement
Minimum 5 years of service as an Officer in a Bank or Financial Institution is mandatory. Experience as Scale I or Scale II Officer in any RRB, PSB, or private bank counts. Part-time or contractual experience is typically not considered.

Local Language Requirement
- Proficiency in the official language of the state where the applying RRB is located is mandatory
- Candidates who have not studied the local language at matriculation/graduation level may be subjected to a Language Proficiency Test (LPT) post-selection
Nationality
Must be a citizen of India. Same nationality criteria as all IBPS examinations apply.
