IBPS RRB Office Assistant 2026 eligibility requires graduation and proficiency in the local language of the state where the RRB operates. Age relaxation follows standard government norms.
Educational Qualification
- Minimum: Bachelor's Degree in any discipline from a recognized university
- Proficiency in the local language of the State/UT where the RRB is located (spoken and read/written) is mandatory
- Knowledge of computers is desirable (tested in Mains)

Nationality
Candidates must be a citizen of India. Subjects of Nepal/Bhutan and persons of Indian origin with intent to settle permanently in India are also eligible.
Local Language Requirement
- Candidates must be proficient in the official language of the state where the RRB they are applying to operates
- Proficiency means ability to read, write, and speak the local language
- If not already passed a language test at matriculation or graduation level, a Language Proficiency Test (LPT) may be conducted after Mains
