No. Phase I is purely qualifying. RBI shortlists approximately 12–15 times vacancies for Phase II based on Phase I scores (category-wise). Final merit is based 75% on Phase II and 25% on Interview.

Q.Are Phase II Papers evaluated simultaneously?

Phase II Papers I and III have both Objective (30 marks) and Descriptive (70 marks) components. Objective part is evaluated first; only those above the objective cutoff in each paper have their descriptive answers evaluated by RBI evaluators.
