Educational Qualification
- Minimum Qualification: Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government [citation:2][citation:7].
- Integrated Dual Degree (IDD): Candidates with IDD are also eligible.
- Professional Qualifications: Candidates possessing qualifications such as Medical, Engineering, Chartered Accountant, and Cost Accountant are also eligible [citation:2][citation:7].
Note: The date of passing eligibility examination will be the date appearing on the mark sheet or provisional certificate issued by the University/Institute. In case results are posted on the university website, a certificate indicating the date of result publication will be accepted [citation:2].
Age Limit (As on December 31, 2025)
- Minimum Age: 21 years
- Maximum Age: 30 years
Age calculation: Candidates must have been born not later than December 31, 2004, and not earlier than January 1, 1996 (both days inclusive) [citation:2].

Experience Requirement (As on December 31, 2025)
- Minimum Experience: 2 years' post-qualification experience as an officer in any Scheduled Commercial Bank or Regional Rural Bank (RRB) listed in the Second Schedule of RBI [citation:2][citation:7].
Important Conditions:
- Candidates must submit a certified job profile from their current/previous employer. If the profile does not substantially match the Scale-I Generalist Officer profile of SBI, the application will be rejected without appeal [citation:2].
- For candidates from Scheduled Commercial Banks (excluding PSBs/RRBs), they must earn a minimum annual gross salary of ₹9.50 lakhs each year and provide proof (Form-16, AIS, last 24 months' pay slips, or employer certificate) [citation:2].
Local Language Proficiency
Candidates must be proficient (read, write, understand) in the specified local language of the Circle they apply for [citation:2][citation:4].

Local Language Test: A language test will be conducted for provisionally selected candidates before joining. Exemption: Those who studied the specified language in Class 10 or 12 (with mark sheet/certificate proof) will not need to take the test.
