Stage-by-Stage Selection
- Prelims: Qualifying. Shortlists approximately 10–12 times vacancies for Mains.
- Mains (Objective + Descriptive): Merit-determining for GE+Interview shortlisting. Marks included in final merit (75% weight).
- Group Exercise & Interview: Shortlisted candidates (approximately 3 times vacancies) attend GE+Interview. Carries 25% weight in final merit.
- Medical Examination: Final selected candidates undergo medical fitness test at designated SBI hospitals.
- Joining & Probation: 2-year probation including mandatory rural posting. In-service exams (JAIIB/SBI internal) required for confirmation.
