The SSC JHT 2026 syllabus covers two papers. Paper I is an objective MCQ paper testing General Hindi, General English, and General Awareness. Paper II is a descriptive paper testing translation ability (Hindi to English and English to Hindi) and essay/précis writing skills.

Paper II Syllabus – Translation & Essay (Descriptive)

General Awareness Topics (Paper I Context)
- Note: SSC JHT Paper I does not have a separate General Awareness section. The 200 questions cover only General Hindi (100) and General English (100).
- Awareness of Rajbhasha policy, Official Language Acts, and Constitutional provisions regarding Hindi language is beneficial for Paper II essay topics.
- Current affairs knowledge helps in essay writing for Paper II thematic topics.
