UPSC CMS 2026 applications are filed at upsconline.nic.in using the standard UPSC Part I + Part II registration system. The application window remains open for approximately 21 days after notification release (typically March–April 2026).
Step-by-Step Application Process
- Step 1 – Part I Registration: Visit upsconline.nic.in → Select 'Combined Medical Services Examination 2026' → Click 'New Registration' → Enter Name (as in MBBS certificate), DOB, Email, Mobile → Save Registration ID.
- Step 2 – Part II Registration: Login with Registration ID → Fill in personal details, MBBS college name, university, year of passing, NMC/State Council registration number → Select exam centre preferences (up to 4 cities).
- Step 3 – Upload Documents: Upload recent passport-size photograph (40 KB, JPG), signature (40 KB, JPG), as per UPSC specifications. Do not upload degree certificate at this stage.
- Step 4 – Fee Payment: Pay ₹200 (General/OBC/EWS) via SBI Net Banking, Debit/Credit Card (Visa/Master/RuPay), or SBI Branch Cash Challan. SC/ST/Female/PwD candidates are fully fee-exempted.
- Step 5 – Final Submission: Review all details carefully → Submit → Download and save confirmation page with application number.
- Step 6 – Personality Test Application (Post Written Result): Shortlisted candidates fill a detailed application form (DAF) with MBBS marksheets, internship certificate, NMC registration, and service preference order before the interview stage.
