RRB JE 2026 applications are submitted at the official website of the chosen RRB. Candidates must apply to only one RRB per cycle. The application window is typically 30 days. Branch and post selection at application stage determines CBT 2 technical paper.
Step-by-Step Application Process
- Step 1 – Select RRB: Choose the RRB corresponding to your preferred railway zone for posting. Apply to only one RRB.
- Step 2 – New Registration: Visit rrbXXX.gov.in → New Registration → Enter Name, DOB, Email, Mobile → OTP verify → Save Registration ID.
- Step 3 – Fill Application: Login → Fill personal, educational details (Diploma/Degree, branch, university, year), community, ex-servicemen status.
- Step 4 – Post Preference: Select applicable post(s): JE Civil / JE Electrical / JE Mechanical / JE (S&T) / JE IT / DMS / CMA. Select only posts for which your branch is eligible.
- Step 5 – Upload Documents: Photo (20–50 KB JPG), Signature (10–20 KB JPG), Left Thumb Impression (20–50 KB JPG).
- Step 6 – Exam City: Choose up to 4 exam city preferences from within RRB jurisdiction.
- Step 7 – Fee Payment: General/OBC/EWS: ₹500 (₹400 refunded after CBT 1). SC/ST/Ex-SM/PwD/Female: ₹250 (fully refunded after CBT 1).
- Step 8 – Submit: Preview all details → Submit → Download confirmation PDF.
