Step-by-Step Application Process
- Step 1 – Part I Registration: Visit upsconline.nic.in → Select 'CDS Examination (I or II) 2026' → Click 'New Registration' → Enter Name, DOB, Email, Mobile → Note Registration ID.
- Step 2 – Part II Registration: Login with Registration ID → Fill personal and academic details → Select academy preferences (IMA / INA / AFA / OTA – can select multiple where eligible) → Choose exam centre preferences.
- Step 3 – Upload Documents: Upload passport-size photograph (40 KB, JPG) and signature (40 KB, JPG) as per UPSC specifications.
- Step 4 – Fee Payment: Pay ₹200 (General/OBC/EWS) via SBI Net Banking, Debit/Credit Card, or SBI Branch Cash Challan. SC/ST and Female candidates are fully exempted.
- Step 5 – Final Submission: Review all entries → Submit → Download confirmation page.
- Step 6 – SSB Registration (Post Written Result): Shortlisted candidates register for SSB through the respective service recruitment portal after UPSC declares the written result.
